This role is based at our Stratum Clinic in Wokingham. Stratum Clinics are part of The Dermatology Partnership, a nationwide network of advanced dermatology centres. We are trusted experts in skin health, committed to delivering high-quality care under the direct supervision of fully accredited dermatology specialists. How you’ll help us make health happen
As a Practice Manager, you are responsible for providing leadership to colleagues to ensure that patients are put at the heart of everything we do. Your role is to drive practice growth, increase revenue opportunities and operate the practice's day-to-day financial management and logistics.
Duties:
- Ensure the clinic is presented to the highest standard, with a strong focus on hygiene and patient care.
- Oversee the patient journey, ensuring feedback systems are in place and service delivery is continuously improved.
- Act as the complaints officer, managing feedback and implementing proactive solutions.
- Support staff in handling patient interactions and ensure appropriate follow-up processes are in place.
- Manage clinic income and expenditure to meet financial targets.
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities for growth across business segments.
- Oversee invoicing, credit control, and payroll submissions.
- Support marketing and promotional activity to drive bookings and revenue.
- Build relationships with potential practitioners and promote the clinic locally.
- Provide visible leadership and manage recruitment, induction, and staff development.
- Maintain HR records, oversee appraisals, and ensure compliance with employment policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and CQC requirements.
- Manage clinic facilities, maintenance, and supplies.
- Chair internal meetings and liaise with external bodies including insurers and regulators.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Previous management experience in commercial healthcare (ideally 2-3 years)
- Experience in managing teams
- Knowledge of up-to-date CQC including the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
- Health and Safety/risk management experience
- General Practice expertise in liaising with external bodies
- Working with Microsoft Office packages
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- An inspiring Leader who is self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities effectively
