Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner- Part Time

We usually respond within a week
8 hours per week (day negotiable, however occasional Saturday's may be required)
PURPOSE
As an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, you play an integral role within our clinical team, delivering medical aesthetic treatments to our patients referred by our Consultant Dermatologists or scheduled through our bookings team.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of aesthetic services, including microneedling, chemical peels, and laser treatments, along with any new innovative treatments introduced through our training programme.
You will collaborate with patients to develop personalised skincare regimens, ensuring a tailored approach to their needs. Additionally, your role will involve supporting clinicians during treatments to facilitate patient care, ensuring efficient and safe service delivery.

The service is undergoing a period of change and therefore a flexible and open-minded approach will be paramount as the business grows and develops into an established, leading, and independent provider of clinical dermatology and aesthetics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consultation, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care in an aesthetic/ dermatology setting and acting to improve services and patient experience where identified.
- Help patients with their skincare needs, suggesting treatments to address those issues, whilst managing the client’s expectations.
- Develop robust treatment plans with a holistic approach to patient care, incorporating a commercial mindset that spans advising on products from our product range, upselling treatment packages and repeat custom.
- Deliver aesthetic procedures safely adhering to processes and protocols for effective treatments, for example with IPL, laser hair removal and facial aesthetic injectables.
- Assist Doctors with their treatments as requested (e.g skin surgery, silhouette soft thread lifts, micro sclerotherapy)
- Exercise caution with any treatments ensuring patients are informed of risks and to always work within the limits of your ability and training. To ask for further training when you feel it is required.
- Develop a full understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques, as required for each treatment
- Help keep the clinic and treatment rooms clean, tidy, and well stocked, as well as helping with general stock monitoring and replenishment.
- Supporting patients with aftercare information and instructions as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Attend training in locations outside of usual work location and which may be held on an alternative workday. Advanced notice provided by practice manager when this is necessary.
Experience, Skills and Qualities
Excellent customer service skills
- NMC Registered
- Nurse Qualification
- V300 Prescribing Course
- Aesthetic, Cosmetic or Medical background essential
- Knowledge of CQC regulations
- Commercial experience
- Front line customer/patient experience
- Knowledge of patient database systems like EMIS or Meddbase
- Competent with Microsoft Office software
- Understanding of clinical documentation
- Administrating injectables like Botox and Fillers
- Experience with lasers or injectable products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrates a professional, confident and calm approach
- Team player and the ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Able to develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with staff and patients
- Reliable attendance and timekeeping
